For teams who want to own their stack

AiSensy is fair.
It's still rent.

AiSensy is the most honest BSP operating in India today — they don't mark up Meta's per-message rates, their pricing is published clearly, and the dashboard works. If you want a self-serve WhatsApp tool managed for you, it's a sensible choice. This page isn't a takedown. It's for the businesses that have decided they want to own their WhatsApp stack outright instead of renting it. Different decision.

When AiSensy stops being the right fit

Three signals it might be time to own the stack.

AiSensy works well for businesses that fit cleanly into its template — broadcast, reply, basic automation, modest team. Most teams outgrow the fit eventually. Here are the three signals we hear most often.

01

You've hit the builder ceiling.

AiSensy's chatbot is drag-and-drop, which is great for simple flows. The moment you need branching logic that depends on data from your CRM, or a flow that reads from your inventory system and writes back to your payment gateway, the builder runs out. You start adding manual steps to fill in the gap. The product stops being a product.

02

WhatsApp has become your main channel.

When 60-80% of your customer interactions happen on WhatsApp, your WhatsApp infrastructure stops being a tool and starts being your core operational system. You want code review, version control, custom dashboards, ownership of the data, and the ability to integrate deeply with the rest of your business. Renting from a BSP starts to feel like running your main bank account from someone else's app.

03

The monthly fee starts feeling like rent on something you could own.

₹3,200/month for AiSensy Pro is reasonable. ₹38,400/year for three years — ₹1,15,200 cumulative — starts looking like an amount that could have bought you an owned, designed system instead. It's not about the absolute number. It's about whether you're building equity in your own infrastructure or paying someone else to keep it running.

The 3-year math

AiSensy Pro vs building once.

Assumptions: A growing D2C brand, coaching center, or service business sending ~10,000 marketing messages and ~5,000 utility messages per month. 5 team members. India-based numbers, India recipients. All numbers from published 2026 rates.

Cost component AiSensy Pro aivite (Build + Studio)
Platform subscription ₹3,200 / month ₹0 / month
One-time build N/A ₹35,000 (once)
Studio retainer (optional) Not offered ₹1,200 / month
Monthly platform spend ₹3,200 / month ₹1,200 / month
3-year platform total ~₹1.15 lakh ~₹78,200 (saves ~₹37K + ownership)

Meta's per-message rates pass through at cost on both sides — same regardless of provider.

The cash gap on AiSensy is honest — about ₹37,000 over three years. Not the reason to switch on its own. The reason teams still do it: ownership. AiSensy gives you continued access to a platform. The build gives you the platform itself. Cancel AiSensy and your flows disappear that day. Cancel the studio retainer and your flows keep running on your own Cloud API instance. The price is the trigger; ownership is the reason.

The honest comparison

When AiSensy is the right call. When we are.

Stay on AiSensy if:

  • Your WhatsApp use case is mainly broadcasts and inbox replies
  • You want a managed dashboard your team can log into
  • You don't need integrations beyond the standard ones
  • You're sending under 5,000 messages a month
  • You don't want to think about Meta verification, template approval, or Cloud API setup
  • Your team doesn't have or want a technical contact who manages the WhatsApp stack

Build with aivite if:

  • Your flows are too custom for a no-code builder
  • WhatsApp has become your primary customer channel
  • You need deep integration with your CRM, payment, or backend
  • You want to own the WhatsApp Business Account and templates
  • You'd rather pay once for something designed than monthly for something rented
  • You want a partner who can extend the build as your business grows
If you're not sure

A 30-minute call will tell you which side you fall on.

We're not going to pretend the studio path is right for everyone. About 30% of the calls we take end with us recommending the person stays on AiSensy or a similar BSP — because their use case genuinely fits a dashboard model.

The other 70% have outgrown the fit, and they leave the call with a scope and a number. Either outcome is useful.

Questions we get from AiSensy customers

The honest answers.

No. AiSensy is one of the more honest BSPs operating in India. They pass Meta's per-message rates through without markup, their published pricing is reasonably transparent, and the dashboard works. If you want a self-serve WhatsApp Business tool managed by someone else, AiSensy is a sensible choice. This page exists for businesses that have decided they want to own their WhatsApp stack outright — that's a different decision, not a worse-platform comparison.

Three reasons people come to us. One, they've outgrown the AiSensy Pro plan's feature set and don't want to negotiate enterprise pricing. Two, they want automation logic that's too custom for a no-code builder — multi-step flows that integrate with their CRM, payment system, or internal database. Three, they've started thinking about WhatsApp as their main customer channel and they want to own the underlying infrastructure rather than rent it. If none of those are you, AiSensy is fine.

AiSensy Pro is ₹3,200/month. Over 3 years, that's ₹1,15,200 in platform fees alone (plus Meta's per-message rates, which you pay either way). Our path is a one-time Build fee of ₹35,000 plus an optional Studio retainer of ₹1,200/month. Over 3 years, that's ₹78,200 total. You save about ₹37,000, but the real value is what you can do that AiSensy can't — fully custom flows, deeper integrations, no dashboard limits.

Contacts you can export from AiSensy and re-import to the new system. Templates need to be re-submitted to Meta because they're tied to your WhatsApp Business Account configuration — but this is straightforward and we handle it as part of the migration. Your WhatsApp number itself stays with you; we just move its underlying connection from AiSensy's BSP layer to your own Cloud API instance.

If your monthly WhatsApp volume is under a few thousand messages and you don't need custom automation, AiSensy's Basic plan at ₹1,500/month is probably more appropriate than our studio build. We're useful when there's actual operational complexity to design — bookings, multi-step flows, CRM integrations, custom dashboards. If your use case is 'send broadcasts and reply to chats', a BSP dashboard is the right fit.
